Abstract

Geo-engineering, known also as climate intervention or climate engineering, has gained increasing attention over last years as a viable tool to reduce some of the harmful consequences of escalating climate change. However, together with cautious scientific optimism, the implementation of such techniques implies several ethical and moral issues which has not been solved yet. In attempting to better understand the viability of such a technique called Stratospheric Aerosol Injection, a small-scale field experiment in Sweden has been dismissed after a public outcry of the local indigenous communities. This short study present a way forward, analyzing the problem from the perspective of intellectuals.
